Hi *|FNAME|*,

February is now here and most businesses are now back in the full swing of things. We are here if you need to discuss your IT plans for 2023 or check out our blog article on 4 Tech Trends to Know About for 2023 for a list of things to look out for.

I know I may keep harping on about security, but here are some statistics direct from from a Microsoft blog article:

  • Microsoft deflects more than 1,000 password attacks per second in their systems.
  • More than 99.9 percent of accounts that are compromised don’t have multi factor authentication enabled.
  • Multi factor authentication is one of the most basic defenses against identity attacks today.
  • Only 28 percent of all MS accounts have any sort of multi factor authentication configured.

In simple terms it means that there are thousands of attempted hacks happening every second and your best security is using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on all your online accounts. Check out our Cyber Security Checklist for further details.

Out and About

Last month we have been busy and some of the work we have been doing includes:

  • Paul, Malcolm and Sean were kept busy early in January installing over 80 Ubiquiti Unifi wireless access points at a site in North Adelaide.
  • Ben was busy installing Cisco Catalyst wireless access points for a corporate client.
  • Zee was busy staging a load of HP servers.
  • Bevin was out and about visiting some wineries while David was working hard having meetings overlooking the beach.
  • All our techs have also been attending a multi-part online training course on M365 Incident Response. This course provides training on how to prevent and also respond to a security incident around Microsoft365. The course ends in February and we have all learnt a lot so far.
