Welcome to April and I hope the IT gods are treating you well?

As mentioned last month, Artificial Intelligence is coming along in leaps and bounds. Microsoft have just released details on how they are integrating AI tech into their Office applications via what they are calling M365 Copilot. Copilot promises to change the way you create documents, spreadsheets and slides. Check out this 3 minute video for an overview of what Copilot is and how it can help your business - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGb9UZ8DyDc

Security wise, there has been 2 major issues in the past few weeks:

  • Outlook users should immediately update your version (from within Outlook, go to File -> Office Account -> Office Updates). A zero day exploit has been discovered and Microsoft have recently released a patch to fix the issue. For further information please visit the Australian Cyber Security Centre info page here. We urge all users to install the patch ASAP, if you have any issues please let me know.
  • business using the 3CX desktop app also need to uninstall and install the latest version ASAP as it has malware in it! Contact us for more info or check out this message from the 3CX CEO.

As mentioned last month, M365 / O365 monthly pricing from Microsoft has risen by between 6 - 10%. The increase will be be added to all M365 accounts we invoice starting this month. If you have any issues please contact me.

Our blog articles this month show you how to help shut down on SPAM, what to do if you are using an older operating systems such as Windows 7 or Windows 8, how you can use MS Forms (a great tool included in most M365 accounts). See below for links.

I will also be going on a long overdue holiday to the Gold Coast with family at the end of April. So if you would like to catch up to discuss your IT needs or just for a chat let me know ASAP.

I hope you all have a safe Easter and will catch up with you soon.

Cheers,
