Hello *|FNAME|*,

Well I've had a busy month with time both up in the Northern Territory and also across in Sydney. One of or network techs, Paul, has also been across to Perth for some work. See below for what other things we have been up to.

With the traveling, one tech device I've found to be invaluable (apart from my laptop and phone) is a portable monitor. Like most people I have multiple monitors while in my main office and I missed this feature while out and about. A portable monitor (while not as big as a normal monitor) helps while traveling. Pricing starts from around $300 which I find is a small price to pay for the increase in productivity.

If you are still using your ISP's domain for your email I recommend you to start to look elsewhere. TPG, iiNet, Internode and Adam (plus any other brands owned by this group) have decided to stop providing email services to clients later this year. The Messaging Company have a migration service which I recommend you sign up for. This service will allow you to continue to use your current email address. If you don't want to go down that route I recommend using a business domain for email or an email service like Outlook.com. Please let me know if you have any questions.

M365 price rises - Microsoft are increasing the Australian price for Microsoft 365 products in September in order to align their Microsoft Cloud pricing globally to US dollar levels. Thus we need to increase M365 prices by 10% starting in October. If you have any questions about this, please contact me via email at david@dpcomputing.com.au.

We now often a complete cyber security training solution to help small and medium businesses build their resilience and protection against cyber threats. The package includes security awareness training, dark web scans, security alerts, data analysis and data loss prevention plans, supplier and risk assessments to mitigate risks and maintain a robust cyber security status. More details will come next month but in the mean time let me know if you require more information.

I love technology and I love helping people. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me today for a quick (non-salesy) chat to find out whether my team and I can help you better secure your data and get more out of your existing technology

Cheers,
David Perkovic

Out and About

Last month we have been busy across the country with work in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Alice Springs:

  • David and Paul were over performing a wireless audit and installing new computers at a couple of sites just south of Alice Springs.
  • David and Bevin have been over in Sydney visiting some clients and also attending a seminar and expo hosted by one of our suppliers.
  • Paul is currently over in Perth upgrading the network at a clients site.
  • Ben, Zee and Sean have been busy installing new cabling, network equipment and wireless access points for a client with multiple sites across Adelaide.
  • Both our Sydney and Adelaide techs have also been busy with another client installing new network equipment over 30 sites.

David and Paul were up near Alice Springs working at a few sites and had a spare day to do some site seeing at Uluru!

David and Bevin were in Sydney visiting some clients. The pictures show David with Fahim (one of our Sydney techs), David and Bevin on the plane and the view from an expo at Olympic Park.

Both our Sydney and Adelaide teams are currently installing new Aruba network and wireless gear in over 30 sites for a client.
From a brilliant sunset in the Adelaide CBD to a lovely view of Goolwa, Middleton and Port Elliot, Bevin has had some great views this month.

Ben, Zee and Sean have been kept busy crawling through ceilings and upgrading the network across a clients 10 sites in Adelaide.
