Hello *|FNAME|*,

I have just returned from Melbourne and am catching up on a few things. I was over there for the SMBiT National Conference of which I am on the national board and also I am president of the Adelaide Chapter. I took along one of my techs, Stefan and we both learnt a lot, met a lot of old and new friends from around Australia and the world.

It is hard to believe that Windows 10 was released on 29/7/2015 and unfortunately all good things must came to an end and Windows 10 becomes EOL (End of Life) on 14/10/2025. This means there will be no more support or security updates for Windows 10 devices. Yes, it is just under 2 years away but you need to start looking and planning for this now and not wait until it is too late and put your business at risk.If you need help with planning or have any questions please contact me (details below).

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me today for a quick (non-salesy) chat to find out whether my team and I can help you better secure your data and get more out of your existing technology

Cheers,
David Perkovic

Out and About

Here are some things we have been doing over the last month:

  • October was Cyber Security Awareness month and we we pleased to be recognised as one of the 2023 Cyber Champions by the Australian Cyber Security Centre. This was due to our work in making the community more cyber aware and our clients more cyber safe.
  • All the Adelaide techs were learning about the latest in technology at the Leader Expo and Seminar at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Here they learnt about the latest in technology, AI and security from suppliers and manufacturers like Microsoft. Lenovo, Intel, WatchGuard, Ubiquiti and many more.
  • David and Stefan were in Melbourne for the annual SMBiT National Conference.
  • Two of our Sydney techs (Joel & Fahim) spent an entire weekend mounting and configuring 8 servers and 2 firewalls and associated equipment in a data center in Alexandria.
  • Not to be out done the Adelaide techs have also been busy with their own installs with some late (or should i say early morning) finishes. One of the problems working in IT is that companies need the work done after hours to stop any interruptions, so we often have late starts and early morning finishes for some jobs.
    • Stefan, Zee and Sean finished at 3:30AM on a Thursday morning.
    • While Bevin also finished another install at 12 midnight the same day.
    • Sean and Zee also finished another install early Thursday morning at 2:30AM!
  • Zee had a great view from 5 stories up installing some networking equipment. The climb up wasn't for the feint of heart though as he had to climb stairs for 5 stories and then walk through a suspended ceiling!
Proud to be recognised by the Australian Government for our work in helping to make our community cyber secure.
All the Adelaide techs attended the Leader Expo at the Adelaide Convention Center. There they learnt about the latest in tech from companies such as Microsoft, Ubiquiti, Intel, WatchGuard and many more.
Our Sydney techs, Joel and Fahim, were very busy over a weekend in October. They installed 8 servers and associated firewalls and switches in a data center.

Stefan, Zee and Sean had to install some switches overnight so as to not interrupt another clients day to day operations.

For this pictured job they finished at 3:30AM on a Thursday morning.

It is a good job that Zee isn't afraid of heights. He had to climb up 5 stories and then walk across a suspended ceiling to work on a network rack.

At least he had a good view while he was up there!

David and Stefan were lucky enough to travel to the SMBiT National Conference in Melbourne.

There, they networked with over 200 other IT service providers and learnt about cybersecurity, M365, artificial intelligence and many other topics from speakers from around the world.

David, being a board member and Adelaide Chapter President, was also on stage answering member questions.
