Hi *|FNAME|*,

Welcome to our September newsletter. I hope you have all been busy and if I can help in any way please let me know.

After approx 6 months of waiting I have received the satellite dish for a Starlink internet service. Starlink is one of Elon's Musk's companies and aims to provide fast internet speeds to most locations on earth. While it is only in its test stages in Australia we are lucky to be one of the first companies in South Australia to have our hands on this new technology and are now busy testing it. It is aimed at locations with poor internet and if you would like us to come visit your site to see how it operates please let me know.

A number of our clients have been asking for online training courses relating to IT recently. Over the last few years we have been reselling the award winning eLearning platform from Bigger Brains. With over 3500 courses there will be something to suit your business needs - contact me for more information.

If you would like to catch up to discuss your IT needs or just for a chat, please let me know via phone (0412 973 503) or email (david@dpcomputing.com.au).

Cheers,
David Perkovic - david@dpcomputing.com.au

Out and About

During August we have traveled all over and some of the highlights include:

  • David and Paul traveled to the Nullarbor Plains to quote on installing some wireless networks at some roadhouses there. While in the region they were lucky to see some whales along the bight including a rare white baby whale.
  • Paul and Ben returned to Border Village Roadhouse on the SA / WA border and installed a wireless network.
  • Staff have been testing a new Internet Service from Starlink. Starlink aims to provide fast internet speeds to most locations on earth. While it is only in its test stages in Australia it will be a game changer for our country clients and those with poor internet speeds.
  • Staff also attended a training session on security in M365.

David and Paul were lucky to see a rare white baby whale while doing some work out on the Nullarbor Plains.

More photos are on our Facebook page here.

Our Starlink satellite dish (AKA Dishy McFlatface).

It is currently sitting at ground level but will eventually be mounted onto our roof.

Our techs had to change a large screen on a Cisco Telepresence unit.
