Hi *|FNAME|*,

Welcome to August and out latest newsletter. Well what a month July was from our end. We have had a multitude of project work on and currently have 3 techs working in Whyalla (see below) on a large laptop rollout for a national client.

We have also started to rollout to our clients a great new security system for Windows and Mac computers. The product can work with your current anti virus package and can strengthen that while also offering detection and response (EDR) capabilities that are backed by a 24/7 cyber protection team. This software will help a lot of clients fulfill their compliance and insurance obligations. Contact us for further information.

If you would like to check out your current security then check out our free ebook Business Cyber Security Checklist.

DP Computing can now resell internet connections (NBN, fibre etc) and communication systems (VOIP, Teams Calling) through our partnership with Hosted Network. Click here to find out more.

If you would like to catch up to discuss your IT needs or just for a chat, please let me know via phone (0412 973 503) or email (david@dpcomputing.com.au).

Cheers,
David Perkovic - david@dpcomputing.com.au

Out and About

Some of the work we have been doing in July includes:

  • A large laptop rollout across multiple sites in Adelaide, 1 in Port Augusta and another 2 sites in Whyalla. Bevin has been to Port Augusta and is now in Whyalla until this Thursday and another 2 staff members flew in last night. Bevin has been installing new network equipment for the client and from today we are setting up new laptops for staff members after a company merger.
  • We now have a subcontractor working on our behalf on the Gold Coast. His first job was setting up the communications / network gear for a clients new site in Upper Coomera.
  • Some sun did break out during July in Adelaide and it was the perfect weather and place for David to catch up with some of our business connections from Brisbane and Adelaide.
  • David also met up with Stewart and David (from Hosted Network) who flew in from Sydney for the meeting. We are now partnering with Hosted Network and can offer a full range of internet connections, VOIP phone systems and associated telecommunications services. Click here for more details of the extra services we can offer.
  • Bevin and Sean were working hard unracking a load of server and network gear from a data centre in Adelaide.
  • Not to be outdone, Neil and Jordan were also unracking network equipment in a data centre in Sydney.

Bevin's morning view
on his way to Whyalla.

The glorious view on a sunny winters day was the perfect setting for a lunch David had with some business contacts from Brisbane and Adelaide.

Bevin and Sean were hard at work uninstalling servers and associated networking gear from 4 racks for a client.

Here are some of the 36 servers they removed.
